Anyone had any experiences with Neo Nazis?

Once I was in the Hungarian town of Debrecen, and a friend of a friend took us to a small out of town bar.
When i walked in everyone had skinheads and blatant forearm Nazi Tattoos and swastikas on the backs of their heads.
We ended up going to a local football match with them and luckily they weren't too bothered by me and didn't say much too me. They seemed quite friendly really, but not many of them spoke English.
I remember I had long hair at the time and one of them threw up the rock n rock V sign with his hand, and my friend nervously whispered to me to return the gesture.

luckily they didnt trap us in rooms and the red laces didnt show up :/

Thats mine, any one had any run ins?

I had experiences with both neo-nazis and skin heads.
Notice the distinction.

With the former I came in contact when I went to a cocktail party and slowly got to talk to these 3 guys who had very strong opinions about how Hitler raised Germany from the ashes etc.
Interesting conversation.

Then I also had experiences with skin heads. Basically I was in the subway with a date and 6 guys, typical Springer-boots, shaved head, white shirt, started harassing us. Luckily a security came and started making his round and they left at the very next stop after seeing him, but I don't know what would have happened if it wasnt for him.

Yeah, I'm from Louisville Ky which has kind a complicated racial history. For most of my youth Louisville was heavily segregated all the blacks lived on the west end and all whites lived on the east end. Literally you can look it up the city is divided at the train tracks smoketown on one side german town on the once you start crossing the tracks the whiter you are the brighter it better be outside if you're on the wrong side of it.

I happened to live right on the tracks just a block down and beyond poor so I mixed it up on both sides and some days everybody is cool and somedays its "Getting dark take your cracker friend home" and vice versa. You know I'm not racist, my first and long time off and on girl friend was black, my best friends in kindergarten and part highschool were black, but you know sometimes you're a lonely kid and you need any friends you can get.

I'm heavily hungarian and pass for austrian so when I, by odd circumstance, ran into a big group of skins I sort of fit right in and they treated me great. If you can stand the hatred nonsense you got drug and booze galore(also cute girls).

In louisville at least the punk scene is so massive there's levels there's actually skinheads who aren't racist they just like shaved heads, mohawks, doc martins and get a bit too rowdy. Then actual skinheads and punkers who are racist but mostly like to fight, start fires and beat anybody up whos not white. Neo-nazi's are actually affliated with a larger crew and usually run drugs. The funny thing is Neo-nazis are often too protective of their crews livelyhood to show up at a KKK rally or actually commit hate crimes. In the south hate crimes are more of a KKK thing.

I stopped being involved with those people when I went to go pick up some drugs at a party and some guy was tripping and put a gun on me and my friends. Having some heroin meltdown. I talked him down, got out and never went back. Then moved out of state a few months later.

Again not racist just was at one point a lonely dumb teen who got mixed up with... ok yeah there was totally a cute girl involved.

I also still talk to my ex I mentioned and she knows. She was involved with some Bloods so she ain't no angel either.

On a side note the movie felt very accurate I was impressed.

Yeah. Early 90s I was a teenage skate punk. Me and a few friends were skating on school property after hours.

Some Neo-Nazi skins came along and jumped us because we'd been agitating them for about a year. They stomped us HARD, but we got some hits in. My friend smacked one with his board and broke it in half. We ran off and called the cops. We got cited for trespassing (the police hated skaters big time) but they said they knew about the gang that jumped us. In fact, they had been looking for a reason to bust them or something.

Couple days later, a police detective showed up at my house with two of the skins in the back of a squad car and asked me to verify that they had the right guys. I told the detective "Yeah, and now these morons know where I live."

Never saw them again, though.

In the small desert town I lived in my friends and I were out walking and met a kid who was obviously from somewhere else... skinhead in punk get-up. We were into punk music at the time but had only heard of 'Nazi Punks' until this guy.
He was actually pretty nice, but seemed kind of simple. He told us he was staying in our town with his aunt because of something violent he did during an initiation in Los Angeles. He thought he might have hurt someone really badly or even killed them. Normally I wouldn't have believed him but he seemed just dumb enough to tell us... and he wasn't really bragging.
He hung out with us for the evening, didn't bring up politics or racist garbage. Just a big dumb kid who was in with a bad crowd.

Yeah I had to switch trains at a station in East Germany once, there was some huge rally. The train station was elevated and I could see the whole shebang. Very weird to see. I think it was Hitler's birthday or something. Police was out in force to keep order for this lawful demonstration or assembly.

They are definitely more "law and order" and not as punk/skinhead there.

Back in 1983 my punk mates and I squatted a villa in a fancy neighbourhood where the unrepentant widow of a high-ranking WWII Nazi (and member of the SS) lived. She didn't want us around so she mobilized her gang of neo-Nazi devotees. They had a habit of planting axes in our front door. Once they dumped a cross wrapped in petrol-soaked rags in our garden, but we chased them away before they could light it. When a journalist came to investigate they beat her up. We kept watch on the roof day and night. Happy days :/

yep many times, pretty common in Montreal now, I was going to work early in the morning and some *beep* saw I was reading a book named "American Hardcore" and started flashing his badges and pins in the bus, he then showed me a tattoo on his hand of two crossed hammers, I stood up slapped the *beep* out of him and we both got kicked out of the bus, I started singing at him but he kept backing up, until a very polite black gentleman intervened and saved his sorry ass, so this piece of white supremacist scum was saved by someones he "hates", one day I was waiting for the bus on my way back home and i saw this bastard with two other boneheads wearing blood and honour t-shirts but they did nothing.

Havent encountered many neo nazis, only the odd one when commuting or in passing, but they have just kept to themselves. I dont think it would be safe if they walked around in a group, especially at night because of other gangs and people would attack them these days.

However, I have encountered many Sharp skins in the hardcore scene and watching some oi bands. As someone mentioned, it's important to remember that the first skins weren't racist at all, it's just unfortunate the white power movement adopted it.
