It flopped because people were still recovering from the shitshow that was "The Last Jedi" and were unhappy to see yet another stupidly-written origin story that was not what we wanted for Han Solo.
There was a perfectly good set of books that told a great backstory to Han Solo; but because KK didn't want to pay royalties to the EU authors, she threw all of it out and tried to gaslight the public into claiming "there was no source material to work with," and then proceeded to either steal story elements from the EU books, or have her stupid writers put together SJW shit sandwich stories hidden inside of a cheap Star Wars package.
KK better hope she's never caught at an actual Star Wars fan convention without bodyguards, because these days, they hate her so much they'd happily lynch her for what she's done to the franchise.
