Is it worth seeing in IMAX 3D?

Me and my friends were planning to catch Everest in IMAX 3D this weekend, but it seems that The Walk will have taken over the IMAX screen in our local cinema by then. We still kinda want to watch something in IMAX 3D though. For those who have seen it in this format, is it worth the extra expense?

YES! The film experience isn't the same if you just see it in Real D 3D or 2D. This is a must see in IMAX 3D!!!

The IMAX 3D aspect has been heavily focused on in the marketing and the 3D in the trailer looked incredible so I would say Yes!

Yes, just saw it in iMax 3d and it was stunning!

Would not have been the same in a regular theatre

Saw it in IMAX 3D last night - The Film is meant to be seen in IMAX 3D or in a large format theater.

At the very least it must be seen in 3D has it is shot that way. Everything has incredible depth to it and there are a few gimmicky moments to add some impact to the experience.

Robert Zemckis is a wizard at his art and has truly made a terrific 3D experience.

It was actually shot entirely with 2D cameras. However, they knew it would eventually be 3D while filming, so that helped the post-conversion process.

I preferred The Walk in Imax 3D to Everest. I swear the palms of my hands were sweating during his walk on the wire.

You missed a superior film not seeing Everest! In IMAX, The Walk pales next to Everest! Also the weekend ahead might belong to The Martian!

It is awesome in IMAX 3D !
It would still be a good movie at a regular theater, but yes, it is worth the extra.

Not sure if it was just the theater I was at, but I just saw a screening of this film in 3D and it was really really blurry in some parts.
