...this has been seen time and again. She only has one expression. I can't believe why anyone keeps hiring her.
I don't know her or anyone related to movie industry, I'm just a random movie goer. Yet I can't believe why anyone would hire her?
While I agree that she has that constant "I smell something funny" look on her face, like she always does, I thought she did a pretty good job in this.

I agree. Given her Twilight series (which I've never watched) I just assumed she had no talent. Then, I saw The Runaways. She did a spot on portrayal of Joan Jett. Then I saw this....excellent as the daughter (as was the rest of the cast.) I would say that my opinion of her as an actress has been completely changed.
shareI think she is excellent in every film she's in. She has a very unique acting style, different from most other actors. I never feel that she is actually acting. You see a lot of her personality in the roles (at least from what I see of her in interviews).
My favorite KS performance may be in Welcome to the Rileys. But she was great in the Twilight movies too.
That's not acting, that's just playing yourself.
shareAgree 100% and how ironic that in this movie she actually plays a budding actress! In the scene where her family is watching her performance even her playing the part of an actress playing a part was terrible!!!!
shareI thought she was fine in this film, and has been pretty good in two or three other movies I have seen her in.
Alec Baldwin was the weak link in Still Alice, I thought - he seemed awkward and miscast throughout.
She looks like someone who would rather be doing anything but acting.
