Kristen Stewart can't act

...this has been seen time and again. She only has one expression. I can't believe why anyone keeps hiring her.

I don't know her or anyone related to movie industry, I'm just a random movie goer. Yet I can't believe why anyone would hire her?

I call her Mumbles. In a low, monotone voice she mumbles her way through every movie she's in. I don't watch her films but I had to make an exception with Still Alice because I loved the book. I just wish they had hired someone who could speak up and act to play Lydia.

Beans are evil. Bad, bad beans.

She even managed to totally RUIN the scene where she is playing in Chekov's Three Sisters. I love that play and she made me want to barf.

I'm watching Still Alice now and- yeah- she acts like a plank of wood.

The hilarious part is that she's a bad actress playing the part of a bad actress (the terrible delivery of her lines in the play proved that).

reply

Well, that is not an original thought. I have had the same thought since the Twilight days even though I am not a twilight fan. She seems bored in every movie and every scene she does. Like she doesn't care:)

you're so wrong.. so damn wrong... lol

but yea just keep your hate up... I give a damn.

its easy to criticize actors when you're just an internet troll. meet her... get to know her ... see all her movies....

then talk again!

reply

cause you don't know her apparently.

every person has their own standard expression. some people look borde others look happy or mean. its just a thing that the face muscles create but doesn't have to do anything.

of course she won't get hired for the comedy stuff cause due to a person's individual face expression you are set to that what you look like. I'm mostly looking angry.. but thats not how I feel.

for me alec baldwin has not a single other expression... so have other actors or actresses.

if you are one of those limited persons who haven't seen more then 3 movies with kristen, or not even those where she was great in it... then go ahead.. keep spreading the hate.
if you dislike a person then its your problem, not the person's.

if you see her interviews and if u ever talk to her... she's one of the funniest and happiest persons.

you can't just criticize an actor's performance when you're a random movie goer.

I'm just sick of all this random hate.
watch all her movies, then come back and talk again.....

reply

Could you please name a few movies in which you thought she was good?
I'll admit I have not seen much of her work, but in the things I have seen, she wasn't very good.

And yeah, you call people trolls, but do you know those people? Go and meet them, see all their work, then come back to me.

reply

She really can't act. She has the same face for all emotions.. Not even trying to act!

I have watched Kristin Stewart now in four or five movies. This movie has proven once and for all that she has no acting talent. It's a shame she was cast here. It is a very good movie, and Julianne Moore does a phenomenal job, and Alec Baldwin is surprisingly good, but Stewart is way above her head. She, and Bosworth's cold portrayal of a daughter who has been diagnosed with the same disease, is the black eye on this movie.

I agree. I wasn't too fond of Stewart's performance either when I saw this film a while ago. For example, the scene of her character's performance in Three Sisters and then the end with her "reciting" the monologue. Holy sh-t! Those scenes were uncomfortable to watch. But I did like Julianne Moore's performance so that made it up for me.

Honestly, I think they should have cast someone like Brie Larson as Lydia. She would have elevated that character and at least can ACT.

I detest cheap sentiment.
