Kristen Stewart can't act

...this has been seen time and again. She only has one expression. I can't believe why anyone keeps hiring her.

I don't know her or anyone related to movie industry, I'm just a random movie goer. Yet I can't believe why anyone would hire her?

Bless she does her best but the others in this movie are much better than her.

Its that man again!!

She can't act, and what's worse, she can't speak. There's nothing worse than being unable to understand an actor's lines because he/she articulates badly.

Ignore Twitter’s incessant, mindless chatter.

If that woman is ever nominated for an Oscar I'm jumping of a highway bridge. I'm that confident she wont be :p

I find it strange that Stewart gets so much hate compared to Bosworth. I dont think she is great, but she has at least some charisma.

Hmmm - I don't find her charismatic AT ALL, which is why I don't like her.

As for Bosworth - I don't think she's great either. In fact, I said that in the beginning when they were casting this. The only casting choice I liked was Julianne. With Kate though - she's so under the radar it's almost like she's not even there. She doesn't have the herd of psychotic fans that go ballistic anytime you criticize her acting. I think Kristen stewart wouldn't get near as much 'hate' if her crazy fans would just chill out.

I'm no fan of Stewart, but she fit the bill in Still Alice nicely. She nailed the ending with Moore, and that is important. Also, the interactions between her and Bosworth as sisters were fully believable. Yes, Stewart has a very limited range but what was required of her in this film was a good fit for her few strengths. Still, I'd be surprised to see significantly more good fits for her in the future and fully expect she will continue to fail when given lead roles, which hopefully will happen less and less.

Life is a state of mind.

After having read the book, I kept thinking how much better the movie would have been if the actress playing Lydia COULD ACT!! Very disappointing!

i thinkshe was good in this. unless play sequence. that was awful

Agreed. Although here it was easy to see why her character wasn't more successful as an actor. She's terrible. She's lifeless and lethargic. It's like she's taken sleeping pills and stumbling through every scene in every movie. I don't know why she has a career.
