Extremely poor taste to release this movie in the times we live in!

I saw the trailer for this trashy movie with poor CGI today. But it wasn't just the weak CGI and weak story that put me off, it's the fact that a movie studio is actually willing to release this crap and try to make money off the possibility of terrorism we face in cities like London.

I live in London and wouldn't pay a penny to go see a movie about London being attacked by terrorists and blown up. Such poor taste. We all know the threats that have come from ISIS, do we really need to see garbage movies like this being produced? Nope!

Please STFU and go kill yourself, there's nothing wrong with making a movie about terrorist attacks, just like there's nothing wrong with making movies solely about war.
Yes these things both happen, if you can't pull your head out of your ass and appreciate a movie for what it is, it's ENTERTAINMENT in case you didn't know, then you should stay at home in your bubble wrap.

There have always been wars and probably always will be because humans are idiots. Do you find Spooks in poor taste as well? Or any crime drama in general, after all people get murdered every day.

Give me a break, lol. This is a Hollywood action film and is really no different from any of the science fiction films we have seen that decimated entire cities. Independence Day being one of them. Look at what films like The Day After Tomorrow did. Jesus, New York has been involved in just about every disaster film ever produced and your getting your panties all up in a bunch over some Hollywood action film that depicts violence or terrorism in London. Wake up!! When you include literature, man has been making stories about destroying entire cities, or the entire planet for that matter, for a VERY LONG time.

You never have to watch the film if it bothers you that badly. Problem solved right there.

Still Shooting With Film!

I couldnt disagree with you more! There has never been a better time for this movie or one like it. The world needs to know what we could be facing. Secondly it is just a movie and I liked it. It has plenty of excitement and is very entertaining. So if you dont like it dont watch it!

I agree! Independence Day should be banned!!! Who wants to see the idea of ... wait ... what are we talking about again?

It's not like Londoners need any more reminding of how bad Muslims can be, right?

Terrorists can come in any shape or form as well - I would have still enjoyed this movie if for instance they had been far right agitators like rogue elements of UKIP, Pegida, or neo Nazis like Britain First -not that BF would have the brains to mount an attack on the scale of what was in the movie. And given that a minority of young disenfranchised Muslims are in danger of being radicalised by hate preachers in the UK like Abu Hamza and his likes - the same way far left activists can be turned into extremists by animal rights extremists and eco-terrorists ... the twist at the end with who helped Barkawi's terrorists was a good one too I thought. The plot point that London is being used as an action setpiece was an added plus for me - even though some scenes were actually shot in Bulgaria.

It can, but statistically 99% of terrorism in the last 20 years has came from Islam.

This is low even for Americans. Trying to disguise the fact that this is American propaganda with a British flag and the word London is pathetic. This was just a sad excuse for a movie, it pissed me off, and proved once again that Americans are dumb and terrible people. This has made me lose any respect I might have had for some of the actors in the movie and helped ruin the reputation of America more than it already was. I hate ISIS and all those people as much as anybody else, but this movie is all about how America was screwing around in places they had no bushiness, then the backlash of their actions affected everyone, but then the great heroes of America fixed it by saving one American politician, and we're supposed to think they're the hero of the story. Americans saying that people who sell weapons to their enemies are terrorist need to take a look at themselves, because nobody sells more guns to the enemies of the western world than America. Screw you America, and screw the horse you rode in on.

This opinion of yours is widely held by pathetic, clueless couch potatoes all over the world...congratulations.

I wonder, if the US hadn't meddled in countries where they shouldn't have been if ISIS, Al Qaeda, Taliban, or whatever you want to call the latest iteration of radical cowards, would still be killing nuns in Africa, children in Indonesia, ALL villagers in Somalia, etc...????

Don't answer...there is no salient response other than the obvious.

I didn't read the whole thread, and just wanted to say that I agreed with OP, that making a movie of London being attacked by terrorists these days is poor taste.
