Season 5 is over, what are your opinions?
Fantastic ending in the prison and house
shareGood start, poor last few episodes.
shareI enjoyed the look on Hamm's face as Roy when he realized he was in danger. Fine acting and carried that dismay without one word.
Hamm, Juno, and Leigh did very good jobs this season. Juno lately has been a surprise to me in some of her roles (I think most probably believe she only plays mousy-type women, but her layers in this season were pretty good).
It was a definite improvement over season 4, almost as good as season 1.
shareI really liked the end.
I wasn't looking forward to it, as I'd worked out - given the early timing in the episode that the range situation was resolved - that it would be some kind of postscript, which is usually unsatisfying when they go "A year later..." or whatever. But it really worked well.
As other said … almost as good as S01.
A bit too much mystical shit and wtf moments that are quite unrealistic. But still good.
Cast well chosen …
Started well then fell off a cliff. The most on-the-nose writing I've seen in years, it was about as subtle as a sledgehammer to the face. The less said about that puppet episode the better. The first 2 seasons of Fargo are stellar, everything since has been underwhelming.
shareUtter dogshit. It’s basically a vehicle for woke propaganda wearing a Fargo skin-suit.
S4 was bad, this is next level awful.
Full breakdown of why it sucks here: https://moviechat.org/tt2802850/Fargo/65b6edf920eb3215bbc43c38/Fargo-Season-5-insufferable-woke-garbage
Uneven. As every season has been since the second. The first season was a masterpiece. Almost impossible to top it. Perhaps they should put the whole thing to rest for good.
