S4 went pretty woke and naturally was rejected by fans. Did the creators learn their lesson?
From the cast list I can see we have two minority cops and a slew of morally shady whites. Is it a case of minorities = morally decent, whites = evil or morally dubious, or do we have some wholesome white characters too?
Actually yes, it is pretty woke.
But in a rather not hitting you over the head with it and in a lot of instances it's more like an accurate representation of reality.
So I even enjoyed and accepted those elements as good parts of the show, in the context.
It was refreshing to hear Mrs Lyon (damn, even the names were all well chosen) saying things like "What good is to be a billionaire if you cannot kill someone?" and "I control everything up to the Supreme courts sweet cheeks, here some vaseline so you can take all those BBC".
There are decent (kinda) white characters too.
Also even the main char is not your usual "evil white guy" is more the righteous religious guy with the bible as his moral set and made like that by the environment. The son was more like the "evil moron white" character ...
White males are portrayed as either evil or pathetically weak.
The fact that the main villain is a Christian who watches and supports Donald Trump might be the most egregious act of woke propaganda I’ve ever seen in a movie or TV show. Absolutely disgusting.
I thought S4 was woke, this is another level, and I haven’t even finished the season.

I'm not sure about that. i think when they were watching the TV the message was about impeaching Biden, and the wife was very upset about the impeachment ...
I seem to recall the wife being upset by Trump’s impeachment, and John Hamm uttering something in support of Trump.
It’s barely concealed political propaganda, trying to make you associate Trump support and Christianity with evil. That itself is an evil act. Fargo S5 is evil, Noah Hawley is evil.

I finally got to the end and Christ almighty - this was next level woke. Pure anti-white, anti-male, anti-Trump propaganda wearing a thin ‘Fargo’ skin-suit. Makes S4 look like a Republican Party production.
To anyone even thinking of watching this - stay away. Fargo ends with S3.
