The lore is very uninteresting and unnecessary

Really tried hard to get on board with this whole idea of the main girl being some sort of valkyrie savior but even with that plot still allows Art to come back as many times as they need. Both have outs until they don't so there's no suspense. I think the first movie had it going in the right direction with him just being this mysterious clown killer. We don't really get a sense of "where" these powers come from, from either side either as we now arrive at the end of the third...and I honestly could care less outside of the vague flashbacks. We're just supposed to accept that they're both some sort of supernatural beings.

I can understand ... I was one of the few people who claimed Part I was better than Part II specifically because Art seemed more grounded in Part I. Part II seemed to make him more of an alien or something instead of an incredibly creepy man who dresses like a clown

I still found part II to be great. But I liked Part I more.

Exactly. Wasn't a huge fan of 2 but the 3rd has made me a little more appreciative of it if that makes any sense.

I must admit I do quite like the lore and I think it’s worked out well so far for this franchise as Sienna has become one of the most likeable final girls in slasher history after only two films.

I could watch many more Terrifier films if they keep Sienna battling Art and adding some new things to the lore each time, as long as the films don’t get bogged down in it with endless exposition then I’m cool with it.

Does Sienna wear the angel/warrior costume again in this one?

reply

Yeah. She gets her "superpowers" back lol.

Thanks! 👍

It would've been a little better if the writers had went in a slightly more fleshed out direction like the rivalry between Nancy and Freddy in Dream Warriors but I'm just not getting it here.

Well Damien feels like there needs to be lore explored instead of the typical "villain needs to remain a mystery" which has since gotten so stale. I'm glad he's shedding away from that mindset and not following it. You people crack me up with this. Let these icons evolve and have stronger purpose than being a monster and that's it.
