What was that ending?
I was hoping for some sort of cross-over or continuation from the original, but what they gave me was as incomprehensible as before.
shareYeah, I was lost with a lot of it. It seems to be a prequel of the first movie because a few of the characters from the 1st movie (who died) were in it. So much that wasn't explained in the first one continued to not be explained in this one. This one was even more confusing.

I did notice the character Imoguiri (played by Antonia San Juan) who's interviewing the main character, Perempuán in this one! I didn´t remember the fate of that character, but now that you mention it, it makes sense that this is a prequel!
It's a VERY confusing last 20 minutes, even going further confusing after the first credit titles come out.
But thinking about it as a prequel, I think it'd be very interesting to re watch the first film. I wasn't planning to, but I'm really intrigued if it will give more sense to this film, as I feel like there's quite a lot going on that needs to be analysed carefully.
I personally didn't find it a bad film or a money grab like some are saying here, there's a strong concept going on in the movie which is probably trying to send a message that's not very clear but it's definitely there.
