i agree with you.I don't know the title is relly strange.ok in the whole movie the company of trainspoting making blue movies??I don't know if the sequel will be so good as traispoting.

You do know that Porno and Trainspotting are both books, porno is a set 10 years after Trainspotting

There are three books detailing the exploits of the same set of characters (Renton, Spud, Sick Boy, Begbie) - Skagboys is the prequel, Trainspotting is the one everyone knows and loves, and Porno is the sequel. All three books are fantastic. If Danny Boyle really does make Porno, we can be assured it will do the book, which is a good book, justice. Plus, the events in Porno take place years after Trainspotting so it would be no problem to use the original cast. I hope this actually happens.

Even, with new actors. Any chapter of that book would make a terrific movie.

The Books..

I have read them both, I love trainspotting the movie, and without spoiling anything I can tell you that, I have read trainspotting in a couple of months, but porno in a week!

So this is no doubt gonna be a great film.

I actually really hope this happens, as long as it's done proper. If film is released in 2016, that'll be 20 years since Trainspotting even though the book is 10 years but actors age slowly it seems so it won't matter, but if they don't have the same actors as the same characters, I will be really pissed.

Also, as far as the new prequel book goes, I wish they'd do it too, but how? By then, the actors will all be too old and couldn't pull off the younger look I imagine, so it won't be the same, but I wish..

I don't know about that, but junkies age quickly. Ten years of hard living would explain any age showing on the original cast.

why not?. I was waiting for a sequel since day one. I think trainspotting was inconclude. Something to me that 'worked' was The Beach, a sort of 'recovered' Renton that somehow he change heroin to pot. In fact, Ewan McGregor was the first choice of Danny Boyle to The Beach and as we know he chose Leonardo DiCaprio.
A sequel is necessary and Im pretty confident that Danny Boyle would do justice to Porno.

I remember Danny Boyle wanting to make "Porno" since the book came out, but his issues with Ewan McGregor keep delaying it. I thought it would never gonna happen. If it's gonna be made, I'm glad it's with the original cast and same director.
I remember Robert Carlyle being a supporter too, but he's not confirmed?

My guess is that the film is in a very early stage of pre-production, so no one has thought releasing the full cast list was necessary yet, or the other actors are still in negotiations. The only regret I have is that Kevin McKidd won't be in it, since they killed him off in the first film.

I would love a sequel. It's been rumored and talked about for so long I doubt it will happen. But if it does and it's done right, it should be great.

It was in the plans of Danny Boyle as far as I remember or at least around 2000s.
But then Ewan McGregor got distanced with Danny Boyle supposedly because of "The Beach" and this went into the "Freezer"
