How would you make a Hitman film

After playing the games again I constantly sit there thinking this just wouldn't work on film a film about a single hit with little action just wouldn't sell.

Now I enjoy both films for what they are, much like the flood of Liam Neeson films we currently have they are just mindless action.

But Hitman is not about action. so how would you do the film and be specific in the plot ideas would love to hear how Hitman could work on the big screen l

I always felt like The Bourne Trilogy is what the Hitman movies should have aspired to be. Being a little more intelegent and not so much mindless action, showing that yes, he is strong, but at the same time has great intelligence and perception, and rater approach things stealthy and not so much guns blazing and letting himself being put in situations he has to take down an entire army surrounding him.

Seriously, just swap Jason Bourne with Agent 47 and we would have had the perfect Hitman trilogy.

What I would do is take the best mission from each of the first 4 games and mix them in to make a movie:

Hitman: Codename 47 (and) Hitman Contracts: Traditions of the trade
Hitman 2: Silent Assassin: Invitation to a Party (and) The Jacuzzi Job (2 from this game seeing as though Hitman Contract is pretty much a replay of Codename 47)
Hitman Blood Money: A Dance with the Devil

Have it something like this:

Traditions of the Trade is the beginning of the movie with Agent 47 taking on another job. Invitation to party is his next mission. However, there is a witness for this mission who lives in Malaysia where he must go in order to take the out, and this is the Jacuzzi Job mission.

47 takes out one brother from JJ, but needs to take out the other, and he happens to be the masked man in the DwtD mission from Blood Money.

id do it the right way with a women or diana being asian id make it it the way it was intended to be minus all the political BS

character is habitual action, we are what we do habitually.

1) Stop trying to force him into a relationship! He was bred to be a killing machine, not conflicted about saving the girl he just met or completing his contract.

2) DARK humor! The games are filled with winks and nods

3) STEALTH!!!! All the movies put him into huge setpiece fire fights. The games penalize players for doing the things 47 does in these movies.

4)Don't let rookies/people who aren't also trained killers have the ability to go toe-to-toe with 47, or even really be able to get the jump on him at all

I wouldn't make a movie I would make a TV show. Have him to a few jobs are a long job where we see him working through all the parts leading up to the final hit

i would for a start already hiring the same soundtrack composer, the great music is a absolute key part in the 'feel ' and atmosphere of the hitman universe....changing only this and it would already fee ltotally different...can you imagine an starwars withouth a jonh williams?

still many great composers out there, but there would simply be never have the same feeling

I wouldn't

As video games have weaker stories than most weak movies there is no point making a movie based on a video game

I actually liked the opening 10 minutes of this new film, where 47 was sort of like a Terminator/Jason Vorhees type that they can't get away from. Obviously that wouldn't work for the whole film but I thought it was the best part. The trailer ruined that effect though.

That could be the key though. I know people will go to see 47, and not have him be the background noise.

If I was to make something though, I'd do it as a TV show rather than a movie. Video games (I feel) will always work better as a show, given it can run longer and you can get more across to the viewer because of that.

As someone above suggested I'd make season 1 a lot like Codename 47. Then just go from there.
