So Finn ghosted Tico in this?

He had another love interest π€£
Itβs like Abrams didnβt even watch Episode 8.
shareYeah, this is the problem when you have introduced a bunch of new characters in Episode 7, then introduce even more in Episode 8, then have even more new characters in Episode 9.
It also shows, once again, how there was ZERO planning done on this trilogy from the beginning.
There was planning... about how much money "Bad Reboot" will make.
shareDid JJ Abrams cut Rose from this movie in retaliation against Rian Johnson for throwing out so many of his plot points?
shareHard to know. Abrams must have known that there would be backlash to Tran not getting much screen time. But, "Rise of Skywalker" also crams two movies worth of material into one movie. So, there's that.
shareI envy him. :-)

Yeah, but that other love interest just wandered off with Lando at the end. And Finn never said what he wanted to say to Rey.
Who was writing this romance shit? J.K. Rowling?
Well wasn't the character properly divisive for people in TLJ?
Finn tried to sacrifice himself to save what remained of the Rebels, and Rose stopped him, other than that, she had pretty much no influence over anything that occurred in the movie, and was clearly a character JJ didn't write.
So he's left with the conundrum of "WTF do I do with a character that didn't get anything right in the previous movie?", so he kept her in long enough so she would be spotted by her "fans" so she wasn't entirely sidelined, and then basically forgotten her.
It's great. I mean, we know the behind the screens reason for this disaster. But what will future generations think watching these movies. They're only going to know the movies. And the story as presented: Finn hates Rose's guts. She stole his epic sacrifice, she threw herself on him like a needy friendzoner, and he cut her right out of his life.

This is art.
shareCorrect me if I wrong but when she tazered Finn, didn't she say something like, 'My job is to round-up defectors.', or something like that?
How could Finn be a defector, wasn't he just a stormtrooper that never actually joined the Rebels?
Did Leia or some other officer actually give Rose that job, or did she just nominate herself to that position?
