Considering that you had to wait for the majority consensus so you could 'go against it' of course.
Nope I actually was keeping an open mind before this film came out. Thing is people right after TFA were going in ready to hate Last Jedi. I found it funny how people had their mind made up on a film they had not even seen yet. Well the film came out and I personally think it was a well made film problems yep but people need to quit acting like the other films in Star Wars were perfect.
I also find it hilarious that people who moan and groan about how terrible the Disney Star Wars films are, but keep on going to the theater and paying money to see it. If you don't like the direction it is going then quit supporting it. After I saw Batman v Superman in theaters I decided that was enough for me as I did not like the direction it was going. I voted with my wallet. People are already taking notes in preparation to hate episode 9 but you can bet their asses will be in the theater once it comes out next year. So honestly the fact that people hate the Last Jedi makes me love it even more.
I hate Star Wars fans in general. It is a damn movie not a cure for cancer for hell sake.

Lol well I try to spit truth. People have this entitled attitude that drives me nuts. I do not like the movie Pulp Fiction. I mean okay I do not hate it but it has never been a movie that did a lot for me. Thing is it is considered a great film by the masses. Critics and people adore that film. I have seen it a few times and I am just not in love with it.
Thing is I understand that people as well as critics do not need my stamp of approval in order to consider it a great film. I am in the minority and have no problem admitting it. Do you see me demanding people to convince me that it is great? Nope because lets be honest we all know anyone who has their mind made up is not going to be convinced. They just want to antagonize and belittle people who like something they don't. It is why I do not like Star Wars fans. Well most of them at least.

Tbh, I'm more of a Star Trek fan. I do like the Empire Strikes Back, but the rest are just ok in my opinion.

I get you. Honestly in a lot of ways I think Star Trek is better than Star Wars. I honestly can openly admit that. See Empire Strikes Back is my personal favorite as well. I just find it funny that everyone blasts all these Disney Star Wars films. The reason I find it funny is I am like okay I am going to ripoff the band-aid. The other Star Wars films were not perfect either. Some of the flaws the Disney Star Wars films have I have seen people openly give a pass to the other films for.
Star Trek is deeper, more for adults and honestly I feel it does take more risks than Star Wars does. I find the mythos and lore a bit more fleshed out as well.

It's funny how star wars fans forget that even Lucas fucked about with his own movies. He even changed it so that Vader was Lukes father, yet people say that was always the case. Then there's the Greedo shot first issue.
But, oh that's OK because he's the man who made it all up in the first place.
Oh I know! I love how being the creator excuses convenient or lazy writing. Now Luckily the twist of Vader being Luke's father was so shocking it added to the story quite a bit. However you can tell that was not always the plan.
I laugh at the in fighting from the two sets of fans. Those who prefer the original cuts of the movies and those who prefer the remastered versions.
shareLol yeah that is funny. I guess I am kind of in the middle on that. Well no I would say I like the original set 80% of the time. There were a few changes I did like but most I can do without.
I did not like the addition of cgi into the older films. The reason I do not like it is because it sticks out like a sore thumb and feels out of place. It would be like adding cgi to Superman the movie. That movie was obviously made before cgi was around therefore it would not blend with the movie at all. Cgi in the newer films is fine because you can tell cgi existed at the time the films were made therefore it blends in better.
The changes I did like was adding Darth Sidious to the hologram Vader is talking to. That makes it nice for consistency. I also like the change of the end song in Return of the Jedi. The Ewoks singing I always found annoying in the original cut. Those are the only changes I enjoyed the rest can go. Although that is just me I get how people feel different.
What I don't understand is why don't they just release a set that has both versions? That way it satisfies both parties. I mean I have the Aliens Blu ray and it has a remastered cut and the theatrical on the same disc. Oh well lol lets just sit back and enjoy people getting pissed off lol.

Some things just cannot be fixed but it is amazing what many small alteration can do to cover up the hair brained things Rian did. It will actually make you a little sad.
I can imagine someone who had never paid any attention to Star Wars before thinking that this movie was worth a 6/10 but otherwise it realistically deserves somewhere around 3 or 4.

... so that from the right angle it merely looks like a shiny bucket with diarrhea just out of sight at the very brim. The changes fix so many of the largest flaws or at least give some wonky things context to make sense (for a change). It looks better than either West or East Coast Phantom Menace edits. I no longer care about SW much due to TLJ and Solo but this is a pleasant fiction I can pretend to have ended on rather than the thrice as odorous real thing.
