She's a good actress, but I always pictured Diondra as being more midwestern husky.
Very pretty, but country chunky and a deeper voice.

I'm thinking more like teenaged Christine McGlade from You Can't Do That on Television.

Haven't read the book, but it was clear to me that casting was a huge problem. Might have been better as a smaller film and casting actors who fit the characters but are not names.
