Chloe Grace Moretz is wrong for Diondra

She's a good actress, but I always pictured Diondra as being more midwestern husky.
Very pretty, but country chunky and a deeper voice.

I'm thinking more like teenaged Christine McGlade from You Can't Do That on Television.

For the people afraid of Chloe's believability as a midwestern, you should watch the movie appropriately named "Hick" from 2011. A lot of people dislike the film, but you can't deny
the incandescent talent on screen by, at the time, a 13-year old Moretz. So give her a chance guys, please.

It's funny, because when I read the description of Diondra -- when Libby described her as a pretty, plump-cheeked girl in the yearbook -- I pictured a brunette Chloe Moretz. (I'm not a very visually imaginative person, so when I read about a character, I often settle on a stock image in my brain as a point of reference.) The very next day, I found out the movie was underway and Chloe Moretz was playing Diondra. I guess it's not that big of a coincidence, as CM seems to get dibs on every role in her age range, but at least it doesn't upset my mental image of her too much. Whether she can pull off the character personality-wise is a different question, though. (I actually haven't seen her in that many movies, so I have no idea.)

I second Christine McGlade. I imagined someone like her when I read the book.

The Chloe smoking fetish scene in Dark Places was pretty hot though.

It even made French TV :-P

But Moretz is husky. She has big hulking shoulders, neck, and hands.

Hopefully CGM will be fine. Haven't seen the movie yet as I don't have directv but I just read the book a few weeks ago. I was picturing Diondra as someone who looked more like younger Mila Kunis. I'm not really sure if she would have worked in that kind of role but as far as looks go, that's what type I imagined while reading the book.

I actually thought she looked the part but I wasn't very impressed with her acting in this... although I thought she really shined in the cow-killing scene.

I believe there is another world waiting for us, Sixsmith.

She's wrong for everything. I half think she looks good so I watch her movies, but time after time I think her acting is mediocre in everything except the kick ass movies. Then add to that her annoying political views.
