I think it's funny if they do it right. Oh no, Bond got replaced by a whamen. She messes everything up and Bond has to come back out of retirement to save the world.

shareYep they are going to take the Rian Johnson approach, if people don't like the movie it must mean there is something wrong with them. But seriously how stupid are they? Do they honestly think the public is going to agree with having the next James Bond be a woman? The truth is the only people who are down for that are radical leftists who make up a very small yet vocal minority of the demographic.
shareThe franchise was already torpedoed before this. This matters as much as Rise of Skywalker after TLJ. Like virtually every popular IP, I have to live in the past to enjoy it.
Maybe someday when the tech allows, we will see fan made, realistic pirate 007 movies that don't suck. On that day there will be 1000 times the man hours applying the tech to porn though.
Who on Earth cares?
The 007 position is a *job* that should be filled by whoever qualifies for what that job involves. As long as the person's name is not actually "James Bond" and is not supposed to literally *be* the same character, then it simply doesn't matter.
We watch the James Bond Franchise to see James Bond. This would mean the end of the James Bond Franchise if we are going to focus on this female character.

shareThere goes Craig's wish that he'd leave the show with a high note. Amazing how they screwed up everything after excellent Casino Royale and decent Quantum of Solace. Bringing in Sam Mendes and getting back rights to Spectre and Blofeld might turn out to be the biggest mistakes in the history of this franchise.
shareThey are too concerned with creating a "Bond universe" so they can bank off the success of Marvel. Seriously the franchise was better when each film was just it's own separate thing.
