Seriously, I thought it was great. Who cares if it's not realistic, who cares if it has a couple little plot holes here and there? It's an amazing movie with a tremendous use of visual effects. What's with people these days immediately hating a movie just because the movie portrays a sequence of events that are unlikely to happen? I swear you must all be a boring bunch of people. I see comments like "What a piece of *beep* that could never happen!" and I'm just like... that's the point. If people only filmed *beep* that's going to happen we wouldn't have half the great movies we have today.
I had an awesome argument prepared when I started this subject, but forgot it before I started typing :/. You get the point though.
i also liked this movie very much. am a selected movie watcher..i watched this movie without any expectation that the movie will be good. watched just to pass the time. but after watching it i feel vow, what a great movie...those who said that this is not a good movie, they don't have the sense of analyzing a movie. people like superhero movies very much..are those realistic..no...but they still love that kind of movies.. in my opinion the rating given to this movie is not fair..it should be atleast 8.5 .........thank you
8.5 lol OK. You sound like you would enjoy anything with a little gunfire. Selective my @ss.
There are way too many good 'One Man Army' themed films for people to think this was anything more than average. Watchable? Yes of course. But it simply wasn't that great....maybe a lot of you enjoyed the Vengeance, & if so I can name far greater films in that regard, too..... sh*t.
Love how Rhada Mitchell's character might as well have not even been in the film. The death of the First Lady was downright pathetic. And does anyone know yet how that chopper towards the end was shot down??? One of their (korean) own & if so where'd he come from??? Also was nice to see Banning take his sweet ass time when Hydra was shooting down the last couple choppers. Then how there was no 2nd attmepted breach after they got Cerberus code#3, or even just to sweep the White House after 'everyone died' in the chopper explosion. I mean how the hell do the people in charge just conclude everyone, 100% died right there. It had to be Banning to suggest 'wait! He's probably not dead!' .....c'mon now. I could go on. Too dumb in too many instances to take the movie as seriously as I wanted to.
you r right but ...understand movies are for entertainment..if you r watching a movie as a critic then no movie will be good..every movie will be having some fault if you go deep in to that..there r many high rated movies r there which is not so good.. so its all our view
Lot's of people really liked it. People on IMDB just tend to be really grumpy for some reason lol. It's full of a bunch of movie snobs that expect a mental orgasm every single time they watch a film. lol.
TimRohn, the problem is not whether the film is realistic or not. The problem is the stupid plot, the bad script, the story and characters shallow as a saucer, the clichés, the bad dialogues... That's it.
I disagree. The plot is not stupid - the plot is very entertaining. I don't see how somebody who likes action could not have found this entertaining... unless of course your problem is actually with it being unrealistic and you are just retarded. Nothing bad about the script either and they seemed to say everything that you'd expect to be said in the situations that occurred. How are you differentiating 'plot' from 'story'? I could answer your comment on the story comment but I feel like it'd be the same answer I gave for your plot comment. Didn't find the characters all that shallow (do you know what shallow means?). They all had depth to them.. What more did you want? 30 minute back stories for each of the characters so it could carry onto 3 and a half hours like all Oscar winning movies seem to have to do these days. It's the classic concept of 1 man saving everybody else and you are surprised there were 'clichés? lol. "The bad dialogues" "The bad script"...... you just love repeating yourself to make your list of how things are bad seem bigger aye? You didn't like the movie? that's fine. Just say you didn't like it. But there was literally nothing "wrong" with it at all. There are plenty of different ways of making a movie and when they made this movie they made it for the people like me who love action movies and I think they did everything right. There's no correct way to make a movie. What type of movies do you like? I probably would think they are boring as *beep* with no substance but that wouldn't make me right would it?
I found it surprisingly awesome. There's a ton of bad action movies nowadays and almost no Rated-R action movies, and this satisfied both of those areas.
