Draft Day opinions thread

So what were your opinions of the movie if you saw it? I'm debating on whether or not to see it

Enjoyed the movie... but I wish they had left a few of the critical momemnts out of the trailer so there would be at least a small chance of surprise.

I liked the movie. I was thoroughly entertained. It got crushed with all of the kid movies.

Great Movie! Reitman is back with a vengeance!!! Costner rocks too!!!

Great ensemble piece. Funny and dramatic and fun.

As sports movies go, it wasn't that bad. The production value was very high. The acting was decent. The script was feather-light, but again, it's just a sports movie. Good movie for Costner, who again shows that he thrives in this genre.

Lots of cameos by people in the media and even by Roger Goodell, but surprisingly few by actual NFL players. They did show TJ Ward's locker in the Browns' locker room. Of course he's in Denver now...

I first thought they had none, but after checking the cast list I see that they did have a few Browns, and Arian Foster played the RB prospect.

Fun movie if you like football. No "you gotta see it now" or awesome cinematography reasons to go see it in the theater. You will not miss much if you wait to watch it on your television.

If you LOVE football and really understand all the strategy, politics, processes, etc. the draft, you will probably have a love/hate or hate/hate reaction to this movie.

Life-long, diehard NFL fan here. Took my father, also a life-long, diehard NFL fan.

WE BOTH LOVED IT!!! Based on the reviews, we thought it was going to be sappy, melodramatic, and just unrealistic like "Any Given Sunday". But we loved "Draft Day" as did everyone in the theater. People were walking out at the end saying how great it was.

I'm a hardcore NFL fan and I stopped watching after 30 minutes. It was that bad.

I'd say it was a decent flick. Definitely a rental though.

I like Costner and always have. He was good in this, but nothing special. I like the cast overall. I was annoyed by the GM's mother and what the frig was with ex wife showing up for the ashes being spread? Weird.

I thought the actual draft stuff was pretty far fetched, but that is typical Hollywood. It was a bit of a commercial for the NFL and ESPN but so what? Product placement is all over movies.

This had a positive message and was a decent, entertaining movie.

Also...the Browns suck.
