sure it was cheesy, and it had a lot of problems within itself but why all the hate?
Over all I give it a 7/10...the chase scenes were cool...thats about it.
6/10 for me. Lot of flaws in the screenplay (or more exactly: the screenplay is just an excuse for the chase scenes which is what the film is all about) but it managed to be entertaining. I sort of enjoyed it

This one of a few movies I saw last year that was offered exactly what I was looking for. A lot of cool car chase scenes in an awesome American Muscle car. If I didn't love car chase movies I probably wouldn't have liked it that much. But that last chase scene in this was EPIC!
The best car chase scene ever imo. Gives me goosebumps every time I see it.

shareSaw this movie for the first time yesterday. I was hangin' and was too tired to change the remote. Why is it when the bad guy orders someone to be killed end up being a hostage? Can't believe I sat through this whole movie.
shareI just finished watching it and I have to agree that it's not bad. I certainly wasn't expecting a thoughtful movie, just a fun action flick and that's what this movie offered. I also enjoyed that both the good and bad guys win in the end, few movies will have a mastermind villain actually succeed in his plans - so that was a nice little twist in the finale.

It was a car chase movie, people! Car chase.
Yes the device the plot hung on was as empty as a bag of dried bones but Ethan Hawke is always superb to watch; a consummate professional.
True the Gomez girl was a blank marker but hey! she's very young (although at her age Ethan Hawke was kicking supreme ass) and she may improve with more experience. Jon Voight (that buggin' weirdo) is always problematic, but the pluses were the wonderfully hypnotic quality of the rear mounted car camera sequences of the crashes (I mean, that's always good) and Ethan Hawke. Those two things alone make it immanently watchable.
True, it wasn't Lawrence of Arabia, but it never set out to be *beep* Lawrence of Arabia. But hey! my chillins it was a very decent popcorn movie.

Why? That last chase scene is EPIC. Can't get enough of it.
It was a big thrill seeing that awesome scene in the theatres.
Definitely didn't expect to see such an awesome in scene when I decided to see this movie. I really like movie with fast cars and great car chase scenes. This, Bullitt, Cobra, F&F movies, Ronin and recently, Raid 2. Would be cool if they did a sequel where The Girl decides to hunt down The Voice. Hopefully they would use a different actress next time around. SG was definitely annoying in this..lol

no their is a lot of other people who like the movie too, I thought it was pretty good I gave it a 6, their is action from start to finish, Selena Gomez is one of the most beautiful women in the world, and she does well in the film, contrary to what most people say, and then Ethan Hawke has been a good actor for a long time now, and he does well in the film, I don't understand all the hate either, I mean it's an action movie, it's not meant to be realistic.
