it kinda went full retard when

one guy

in ONE evening

"A-team's" it up and using random parts and a HOT GLUE GUN

builds a PLATOON's worth of weapons that fire "Focused Energy Pulses"
so SPACE LASERS
and a BIGGER bada-boom space CANNON(and thank god he didn't go proprietary with those connectors and battery packs huh?)
oh and cool new space ARMOR that we'll put on in slo-motion
and new space armor HELMETS
... complete with pretty lights holographic crosshairs etc etc

no really in one evening he advanced technology to Call of Duty Infinite Warfare with a hot glue gun. dude wrote the code himself.

But, OP, he reversed the polarity! That's a game changer, right there!

to be honest, i didnt even notice all that until that soldier fired that big bada-boom canon and everything started flying in all directions from massive kickback. that weapon made it apparent how massive and advanced gun he had build in such a short notice. it is funny considering that it wasnt very necessary for success of mission

I kinda liked that amount of cheese. I was laughing the whole time. Especially the hot glue gun with screw gun sound fx.

True. It was silly. Why not just let them return after a few days, at least? Even if he knew exactly what to do before he began, he still made enough weapons and complete top-to-toe armor for a small army, and absolutely no sign it was handmade with improvised parts. He's a one man weapons factory.
"Uh but it's sci-fi" It's not even that sci-fi up to that point. Nothing in their gear looks unfamiliar, up to the point where he basically invents Crysis technology overnight.

I still liked it though. I would watch it if they made a sequel.

Don't forget the robotic dogs... were those from scratch too? LOL! This guy was the MVP, the GOAT in human history. Without him, they were toast, and he went home by himself in plane without much fanfare.

After making my above posts, realized last comment was 7 yrs ago. LOL! Anybody home?

Pretty sure the dogs were in the crates from the base already. It is ludicrous what they made in one night (you'd think more of the equipment would look unique from one model to the next...) but the dogs were pre-made. Of course, he did manage to construct and attach the advanced camera systems...

Also, the face masks looked cool, but why bother making them?
