it kinda went full retard when

one guy

in ONE evening

"A-team's" it up and using random parts and a HOT GLUE GUN

builds a PLATOON's worth of weapons that fire "Focused Energy Pulses"
so SPACE LASERS
and a BIGGER bada-boom space CANNON(and thank god he didn't go proprietary with those connectors and battery packs huh?)
oh and cool new space ARMOR that we'll put on in slo-motion
and new space armor HELMETS
... complete with pretty lights holographic crosshairs etc etc

no really in one evening he advanced technology to Call of Duty Infinite Warfare with a hot glue gun. dude wrote the code himself.

Its a science fiction movie dude, what part of that you dont get?

I didn't care so much that they glued weapons together so much as how cringeworthy that slow motion scene was doing it... oh man that was embarrassing.

Wow, you cannot be this thick, so you're either a shill sent to try to discredit anyone with any criticism, or you are that stupid.

The use of the word glue is hyperbolic, it's a figure of speech... like duh.
And ya, it was done in a very slow, deliberate way with a change in music, as in a slow motion sequence... did you miss the scene? You're insulting, and anyone who resorts to that kind of insulting is either a shill or involved in the film to the point they have zero objectivity, since they cannot take any criticism.

Whichever it is, I don't have time for your childish, uncivilized games and lack of professionalism in discourse.

Happy holidays.

There actually is, it's directly at the tail end of the gun modification scene when they're pulling on their clothing, and strapping on the weapons... it's done in a very slow, deliberate, doubled way, a lot of posing... but again, you resort to juvenile insults... hey, whatever makes you feel better, but I find it rather sad and unproductive.

I'm making observations, memorable scenes that either worked for me or not... I'm not whining or behaving emotionally whatsoever. You on the other hand are acting very immaturely. I'm done with you. You are not worth my time.

Nice Pink Floyd ref. though. You really are an ass though.

I have to agree if the bad guys can make the spectrals its not a stretch that they can make plasma guns. I also agree that nowhere in the movie did it tell us how long they were in the bunker. So what looked liked one day could have been longer. They also made a point in the beginning to say dude created and built the tank armor, the glasses with the cameras, & other things. So he really was a MacGuyver.

Agreed with OP 100%

Are you people really this dense? Clearly the technology here is more advanced than our modern world. The antagonists are the creation of hypothetical particles made from a 3D printer while a living central nervous system operates them...does this not make you take a second to think "maybe they have access to other *beep* than we do?" So maybe it is easy in this world to convert their weaponry into pulse rifles since clearly it's not the same as our world. Hence being science fiction.

And the people who called them "hillbilly grunts," they're Delta Force operatives so the smartest and best of the military, and the protagonist is from DARPA which is the most advanced technology weaponry agency of the US. I'm not saying the movie is perfect, didn't even find it particularyl good, but if you're going to criticize a movie for being stupid make sure you aren't the stupid one.

well he works at darpa, and we had already seen from previous scenes just how amazingly smart he is and is the only one who knows what condensate is. it all fits really. stop being jealous of fictional characters.
