Did anyone cry when watching this film?

If you cried when watching this film, what sequences made you cry?

Yes, when BingBong sacrificed himself. Other than that I thought this movie sucked! It was depressing. WAY to depressing.

This. We can all relate to this because we were all children once. As adults we get a deep sense of melancholy and nostalgia whenever we have a recollection of our childhood. Bing Bong, the imaginary friend, is the embodiment of childhood. When we grow up, we have no choice but to let go of him. It's heart-wrenching and heartwarming at the same time to look back at your early years and realize how life then was so easy, happy and just carefree.

Well written and true.

How can a living being hold tears looking Bing Bong fade into nothing?
To me he was one of the greatest character ever created in cinema. Bing Bong it's on par with Colonel Kurtz!
I imagined him played by John Belushi...

Yes. Of course. When Bong elephant whatever faded away. Of course. Please, like who didn't?

To be honest, no I didn't cry at all. I was very moved, but I didn't cry. My boyfriend cried almost through the whole movie though, and he thinks I have a cold heart for not crying, haha :P But, I am just not the type of person who cries over a movie, no matter how sad it is.

My girlfriend couldn't stop crying her eyes out when Bing Bong jumped off the wagon!

I was just rewatching the clip when Riley finally breaks down in front of her parents. Even watching it out of context it gets me. It hits me right in my heart. There's something very sad and relatable about witnessing all these emotions and feelings swarming in at once and not being able to hold back. And then the parents realisation of what their daughter is going through. And them confessing they miss home too and embracing in a happy/sad hug.
It's pitch perfect. The animation and the voice acting in that scene are too damn good aswell. I can't help but get a lump in my throat.

This movie had a nice ramp where it got more and more tense and emotional as it progressed so I was crying quite profusely towards the end. At least it wasn't like Toy Story 3 that sucker punched me right in the childhood from the get go and had me crying throughout.
