Did anyone cry when watching this film?

If you cried when watching this film, what sequences made you cry?

Like many on here, I also got misty when Bing Bong jumped off the rocket.

I did so again at the end when Riley had her catharsis because by then I had spent most of the movie thinking about how we were going to put my 4th grader in a new school in a couple of weeks and wondering if it would be a hard adjustment for her.

This 32-year-old self claimed bitter and angry man had tears in eyes continuously. And this is not usual behavior for me.

reply

No certainly not!!!!... I just had something in my eye! Damn dusty cinemas! I will write a letter to management.....

I had teary eyes when Riley admitted she is homesick.
On the other hand Bing Bong's sacrifice didn't work for me at all.

Bing Bong's death and Riley letting out all her feelings to her parents at the end. For the latter I REALY wish that this movie had came out 10 or even 5 years earlier, would have really helped my life out a lot. That is what truly makes me sad

I also cried at the overall story and plot of the movie. Right from the opening moments to the end of the credits. This is one of my favourite movies of all time and I absolutely adore it. Here I was thinking that the concept alone would be enough then we got an amazing movie. One that saved my life too in many ways. Love you always Pixar :) As long as I live you will always have my money and most importantly my whole hearted support and dedication

Yup, when she came back from the bus station and wept.

reply

No. But I did come close in the moments when the girl was having conflicting emotions (When she was in bed, the table scene, and another one i can't remember).

I was tearing up many times, whenever Riley cried and whenever a piece of her childhood went away. It hit me right in the childhood!
