I still have nightmares about "Cube". Something about that movie just creeped me out so much. Other films I have found super scary: The Amityville Horror, The Descent, The Ring, Sinister, The Hills Have Eyes, Paranormal Activity, Chrenobyl Diaries

The abandoned was supremely weird and original and sooo frustrating. Not so much scary, but disturbing so I second this one. :)

Bam said the lady.

Ghoulies 2 - I watched it when I was 8/9 years old and for the next few years I had to sit perched on the edge of the toilet seat, looking down when performing a no.2.

Pennywise popped up in my dreams/nightmares on a few occasions a couple of years ago and I found it very creepy watching Stephen King's IT again, even more so when the dang white cat from my neighbourhood jumped onto the windowsill just as I was carrying a cup of hot tea. Needless to say already being creeped out, hot liquid suddenly covered many a kitchen surface.

In terms of JUMP factor....... I found Deep Blue Sea to cause me to jump out of my skin on several occasions, you just do not expect that certain someone to become shark fodder !!!!!

BUT THE MOST SCARIEST THING EVER ............ was playing DOOM 3................ TOO MANY JUMP SCARES !!!!!!!!

The only movie that's ever "scared" me was The Ring. The part where Samara climbs out of the TV... oy! The fact that I was 11-12 when I first watched it probably didn't help either. Whenever I think of that scene, it still creeps me out but I'm not scared. I've never really been scared of a movie.

For me, the movie that really, really freaked me out was Wolf Creek... but maybe because I come from Australia and could recognise that this character was based on real events (see Ivan Milat).

Others I found frightening: The Ring & 2 (American Remake), Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Alien.

Rosemary's Baby was also very creepy.

I love The Shining, but I think it's more creepy than frightening.

Oh yeah, I remember The Changeling...very cool, the old wheelchair thing was damn scary..
Thanks for the memories. I must chase this one up.

But... Exorcist for me also.
I sh!t my pants watching that movie as a teenager.

For me it was Jacob's Ladder, it scared the crap out of me when i was a kid, i think i had nightmares for a week afterwards. It was the psychological aspect of it, you didnt know if this guy was actually seeing demon's or he was slowly going mad or what till the end. Not to mention Tim Robbins was great in it, and it had a great suprise ending.
