What Oscar nominations will it get?

I saw it today. I predict it will get nominated for:

best picture
best actor
best supporting actor
best adapted screenplay
best score
best editing
best production design

Other possibilities that I'm not currently predicting include: director, supporting actress, sound, costumes, cinematography

Are there negroes in it? If not, it won't get any. Those are the rules.

There was. And he was one of the best actors - actually everyone in this was great - but his performance was magnificent and so was his story. This is an excellent movie.

Supporting who? Tucci? I didn't find him that impressive. Otherwise, good predictions.

Supporting - Msamati. He was so good. This was an all star cast. Fiennes, Tucci, Lithgow, Sergio Castellitto in full bluster, Rossellini. All star performances and great writing. Benitez was originally Filipino not Mexican in the book. When I heard that, I instantly thought that it would have been much better if they stayed with that premise.

I enjoyed the film very much but hope the score isn't nominated - I found it ridiculously overbearing.

Ralph Fiennes for Best Actor would be a good choice

An excellent movie. I do see it getting nominated for Oscars. Fiennes for sure. Best picture definitely. For supporting - not Tucci and not Lithgow. Msamati maybe. And then there’s Isabella. If I recall, I liked the score.

Conclave actually was listed as one of the top 2024 films by both National Board of Reviews and the American Film Institute. Its odds of getting Oscar noms are very high . Best Picture nomination seems likely

Best supporting actor x 3.

Litgow, Tucci and Msamati are all worthy. It's like a Godfather situation.

Fiennes will be nominated, and might win if they add the weight of his career.
