Critics seem to like it

Normie audiences not so much.

Cronenberg is 81 and still beasting it.

This is one of very few films I’m actually looking forward to seeing.

According to Kübler-Ross, the five stages of grief are:
denial.
anger.
bargaining.
depression.
acceptance.
Cronenberg is suffering from an unlisted one: complete mental breakdown.

I'd like to wipe from my mind the synopses I found. Yes, Cronenberg misses his wife and I am sorry, but this plot is vividly disgusting.

I think you watching this film would be akin to a VHS player trying to read a blu-ray disc.

I can see how your remark may be amusing to those who have yet to lose a truly belovèd family member or friend. Perhaps you made note of the stars given by critics and did not read the storyline?

I think you should climb out of your ass and give respect to an 81 year old master artist who is making a deeply personal film about grief after the loss of his wife.

Condemning a Cronenberg film for being ‘vividly disgusting’ is like condemning water for being wet. You simply do not have the faculties required to appreciate Cronenberg’s art and all you’re doing is broadcasting that fact.
