Yondu is out as (given that he's listed among Quill's known associates when he's arrested) appears to be known by Nova Corps. he's not something/someone unknown to them.
Tony Stark is out - he's Terran - he's a race that's known. Not to mention he would have been all of 10 years old at the time that Peter was conceived. (Peter was 8 in 1988 when he was abducted, ergo he was born in 1980. Tony Stark in the MCU was born in 1970-1971 - can never remember which)

Yeah I've got GOTG on blu ray but I haven't watched it in awhile lol. Don't watch Agents of Shield either....
Part of me is so curious to know exactly who it is in Vol. 2, but I'm sure Thanos will appear in some capacity in Vol. 2; and there will be other events happening in MCU by then ......
So I guess I'm saying that while I do hope we find out In Vol. 2, I wouldn't mind if Gunn held out on the audience a bit longer..

Is "Quill" Meredith Quill's maiden name? Or is it a name she adopted after having Peter?
I know it's probably reaching (since Peter's true father in the comics is J'son), but it would be interesting if his dad in the movie IS Starhawk....and she took on the last name of "Quill" (a feather) as a sort or reference or reminder of him. She also calls her son her "Star Quill" in the movie, doesn't she?
