Loved the characters, hated the story.

Pretty much my feelings about it. I hope they make some more of this. The interplay between the angel and demon and the misadventures of witches and witch hunters was a delight. But all the nonsense with the four horseman and the anti-christ was terrible. I'd like to see more stories with the characters not laboring under this sort of storyline.

I liked the child actors the least. When I re-watched the series I fast forwarded through most of the parts with the kids.

That's fair, that's probably how you'll feel about season 2 then I do think they feel much the same although it's a different plot.
