How to write a script in these modern times

Let’s take the plot points of the first four movies and piece them together into a new movie.

Alien 3- Lets take a bleak setting and show that the people are stuck.
Alien - Let’s infect a single person and have the crew fight the alien.
Alien 2 - Let’s mix it up 75% of the way into the movie and then have the girl fight a bunch of aliens with a super gun.
Alien 4 - Let’s set the action on a flying lab with lots of fucked up genetic freaks.

it was, in essence, a perpetual remake
Most hollywood BS sequels follow the same formula

As I've mentioned in another post, most sequel novels are by far better than what the hollywood script writers can come up with. It's fascinating, because you already have these novels - well written novels, yet they always get their relatives write sequels - rebooting the film every single time.
