How can Lawrence be so unprofessional?

I just read this in the Trivia section: "Jennifer Lawrence's penchant for snacking on Doritos chips on set caused her to stain and nearly ruin several dresses. The wardrobe department compensated by making several duplicate dresses for her to use throughout the production so she would always have a clean one to wear."

Now, my question is: how can she be so unprofessional? For me it's difficult to understand how such a young actress is allowed such behaviour. One thing is having eccentric requests, such as I want my camerino painted in blue, but another is engaging in such attitudes that affect the work process. I would understand that from an older actor/actress who has some well-earned prestige and doesn't give a damn any more for whatever the reason. But a young actress who is just starting her career (despite her Oscar)?

The only reasonable explanation that comes to my mind is that she was too much into her character (I can perfectly imagine Rosalyn doing all this crap) that the director had to accept all that mess in order to get an over-the-top performance. Or else, she's just become a spoiled girl due to her early success. And that'd be a pity...

On a similar track. I've read about certain things that singers & such have put into their contracts. The one I remember was that whatever 5* hotel Jennifer Lopez was staying at the night of a performance.....the toilet bowl had to have rose petals floating in it.

Another I remember which wasn't as odd was that when Diana Krall was performing, she could only be photographed on one side of her face.

With the money & fame that comes with being pretty high up the ladder in H - wood when you're young - well, there is just a giant business talking about these people. It's unreal & unhealthy.

Contract riders like that are really not to be divaish but to make sure the contract is read thoroughly....and when you are the road 212 days a year it is nice if you know that there a certain things you know you can count on being there..it helps ground you and give you a sense stability and home...knowing you can count on your favourite soda being in the fridge and the same sheets on your bed is very comforting.

If you think this is unprofessional... lord... just don't read up on what Dennis Hopper or Marlon Brando or Sean Penn or Charlie Sheen used to be like on set. Your head will explode with outrage.

I forgive her 😂

When you become an actor, you just need to be able to brand yourself. When Jennifer became an actor, she had absolutely no experience in it, met a photographer in New York, and then referred to a big talent agency in New York. You can tell Hollywood capitalizes on this because her first movies were The Hunger Games and Winter's Bone, both rural becoming a star. She grew up in Louisville, but Kentucky always has the stigma of being rural. There you go.

So since she now has this brand and has starred in all these movies, there is no way people are NOT going to go out of their way to hire her. When cast, it is not like they can uncast her, unless she either becomes deceased on set or drinks herself into rehab. She is a cash cow and she can do whatever she wants.

About financial situation. Think agents take 15% of all her earnings, managers takes 20%, publicists take another 10% and 50% on taxes. She is worth, at the minimum, $28 million. I just now found out recently you can write off what you pay your agent, manager, publicist, etc. So she is left with, $4 million. She made out way better than what she thought she would. If I were in her shoes, the minute I made the $10 million mark, I would stop caring.
