Don't get me wrong there were some decent performances by the actors. I liked the cast, I really did.

I thought Louis CK sucked though... The story was bland and I was fighting to stay awake watching this thing. It was the most boring piece of work I've seen in a long time. The last 30 mins or so I got into it more but the previous what felt like 3 hours was slow, and uninteresting. I don't want to give away many spoilers but the story isn't anything special. There were a few good scenes here and there but as a complete body of work I really didn't enjoy it or think that it should have been nominated for so many Oscars.

For movies like these, it is best to read the plot on wikipedia (if it is too convoluted) and then watch it. If you still cannot figure it out, go back and watch scenes of your favorite actor, in my case, Bradley Cooper. I always like seeing him in movies.

I was watching it today; however, I was having more fun responding to these message boards than watching it. I ended up just turning the t.v. off. So glad I did not actually go to the movie theater and see this. I remember when this came out and I was debating on whether or not I should go and see this.

I agree it's just more propaganda backlash, such a garbage movie
