Most overrated movie of all time

Don't get me wrong there were some decent performances by the actors. I liked the cast, I really did.

I thought Louis CK sucked though... The story was bland and I was fighting to stay awake watching this thing. It was the most boring piece of work I've seen in a long time. The last 30 mins or so I got into it more but the previous what felt like 3 hours was slow, and uninteresting. I don't want to give away many spoilers but the story isn't anything special. There were a few good scenes here and there but as a complete body of work I really didn't enjoy it or think that it should have been nominated for so many Oscars.

This, Chicago and NCFOM are THE most overrated of all-time.

I just watched it and I agree. The only thing I liked was the acting and the music. I gave it a 6 out of 10. Very disappointing!

Although I was left underwhelmed after watching this movie, at least I finished it unlike Wolf of Wall Street. I was bored out of my mind well before the 2 hour mark.

I think I will pass on Wolf of Wall Street then. I have "Blue Jasmine" and "Gravity" to watch next.

reply

I kinda liked Blue Jasmine- saw it with my woman bought still thought it was ok.

reply

I liked it. Depends on what you are expecting. It was a character study.

reply

Definitely not as good I thought it would be. So overrated. Too much hype. Jennifer Lawrence was NOT as good as everyone keeps saying was & not that good to deserve a Golden Globe or an Oscar.
She tried & I guess was decent but I just didn't believe her as the character & a truly great actor can make you really believe they are ANYONE.

Honestly when you start thinking about it, its Bale's performance which grounded the entire film which in a lesser actor's hands could have become so over the top & border line cartoonish !!

Agree. It just dragged on and on....at a certain point I was just praying for it to end so I could go to bed. Very average film. And I'm a major movie buff. I pretty much like everything. Not this.

"Hey guys! Whoa, Big Gulps huh? All right! Well, see ya later!" Dumb & Dumber

reply

I agree. What no one mentions is that it is a leftist politically-correct movie. All "characterization" but everyone is no character one would like to know better (or at all). That is called "naturalism" like expressing the artistic side of bowel movements. No coherent plot. (Makes it boring) No theme, but: AMERICA SUCKS!
