#1 on VOD after bombing at the box office
I have a feeling they will release Chapter 2 on VOD instead of in theaters now

Could be older audience is afraid getting sick. Not just covid.
shareI was gonna say that this isn't impressive given it's a new release and the others on the charts are weeks old, but I double checked and Planet of the Apes came out just 1 week prior.
A movie like Horizon beating out a franchise blockbuster which is just a week old on the streaming platform is actually pretty impressive I'd say, though I'm not entirely sure what the trajectory is for movies on digital VOD, do they all start big and drop off very quickly or is it common for one to hold the top spot for weeks? Also the lack of actual figures makes it hard to judge how impressive the feat is, did it just eek by the week old POTA or did it take first place with little competition?
Streaming is where all of Costner's 12 hour+ masterpiece Horizon saga belongs, his days of having box office hit movies in the theater are a thing of the past.
shareI disagree with this philosophy…because I went to see this at the theater…and I love going to the actual theater…but I think a lot of people don’t want to sit through a 3 hour movie anymore..and would rather watch it at home in Whatever chunks of time they want.
shareYeah, this was me. I was tempted to see it in the theater but I thought I'd wait for streaming. Don't get me wrong, I love going to the movie theater but a three-hour Western sounded perfect for a Sunday evening at home.
shareI'm so glad I caught it at the theater on a great big screen while I had the chance. It looked fantastic, and I'll go back for parts 2 and 3 if they put them in the theater. I watch enough movies at home, but this one was worth going out for.
shareAgree. It's a wonderfully majestic film to see on the big screen and I can't wait to see where this story goes
If anyone's interested, I reviewed the movie on my youtube channel. Appreciate any feedback. Trying to improve -https://youtu.be/3Pkh7hOGdX8
Same here. I will be disappointed if the other installments don’t come out to the theater.
