Alien ripoff

But this could be a good thing

reply

This doesn't resemble Aliens in any way what-so-ever. Have you actually ever seen that movie?

reply

Alien was rip-off of Discord in Scarlet.

Pablo Picaso was quoted as saying "The successful artist knows how to hide his sources."

The last truly original movie was made in the 1930's.

I swear, some people have no concept of what constitutes copyright, trademark, and plagiarism. They have some vague idea of the definition that they amplify to justify their opinions based upon emotional response. If what is being called plagiarism here was enforced by law, we'd have no new movies. Everything, and I mean every single movie made, that is coming out today is a blatant ripoff of another movie. Get over it. You'll live longer…..

And remember, opinions are like a_ _holes. Everyone has one, they both make obnoxious noise expelling gas, and no one wants to see or hear them. Find some perspective….

reply

That's kind of my point. If this is a rip-off of Alien then that film is flat out plagiarism. That's funny because Alien did face plagiarism charges.

reply

OMG it's because of ppl like you that the vast majority of humanity is so poor in every sense. Because others rob banks or kill people, let's do the same. Let's have no moral values since many people do the same.

reply

No, there are movies that are more original than others. It's not like all the movies have exactly the same level of originality and plagiarism.

how its Alien ripoff ??????

reply

The only thing that reminded me of Alien is when Kim was running away from the Serb zombie with the strobe lighting.

reply

Thanks for agreeing with me that this is an Alien ripoff.

reply

I just saw the trailer for this on a Blu-ray and Alien was the first thing I thought of.

1) Ship lands on planet and they go to investigate.
2) They find something alive.
3) Guy comes back with hole in front of his helmet.
4) Someone says something about quarantine or not letting him on the ship, but he gets in anyway.
5) Crew dies one by one.

I even thought some of the visual styles and music were someone similar to Alien; even one of the girls reminded me of Ripley.

reply

Finally! Someone with a brain on this thread, who agrees with me and understands me.

Same here, I noticed visual themes and audio themes that copied Alien. The girl you talk about is Kim I believe. She is a copy of Ripley.

4) Someone says something about quarantine or not letting him on the ship, but he gets in anyway.

All your points are 100% correct, congratulations sir. I made the same points you did on other comments. Keep fighting the good fight, sir.

I know, right? When I watched the trailer I thought wow, what a cheap Alien ripoff. It reminded me 97% of Alien. But I love sci-fi and I wanted to confirm this is true so I wasted a few hours watching this garbage. After watching the movie, it reminded me 101% of the Alien franchise and Prometheus. That's what they tried to copy, the moronic directors with no brain.

reply

You must be really young. The movie Alien is also a rip-off of earlier Sci. Fi. movies. I can fine no rip-off of Alien in this movie.

reply

Only thing that reminded me of Alien was the slow shot(s) of the spaceship from inside, and frankly, it went by way too quick. The pan shot in Alien is one of my fav sci fi moments.

damn how many space movies have ripped off each other? how many movies when space suits are compromised? where a hole has appeared in the suit of the helmet glass has cracked? armageddon being one off the top, somebody being left behind? people dying one by one from an alien being? comedies do this all the time but nobody say nada, from the abyss, sunshine, moon, ghost of mars, i can name many more that could probably have something in common with alien therefore class it as a rip off, they are just characteristics of a space movie, id like to see one these people write a space movie with nothing in it that could be referenced as a rip off. it would be damn near impossible.

reply

Your grammar just shows how smart and intelligent you are. Sentences begin with an uppercase letter, unlike you wrote. You can use paragraphs to better organize your text.

I suggest you read other comments on this thread by intelligent people who happen to agree with me that this is an Alien ripoff.

Nothing is impossible. Yes, I've written sci-fi books and stories. I always try to be original. Inspiration is one thing, plagiarism is another. When I write, unlike TLDOM's directors, I don't copy other movies and ideas from other people. Do you know why? Because I'm honest, I have honor, good principles. I'm proud of writing original stuff, I'm proud of not copying others like TLDOM did. They should be ashamed of themselves, if they had a brain and a conscience at all, I highly doubt it.

here we go again what is it with you guys, so im not an english professor who gives a *beep* you obviously!

reply

write your space story then let us judge if you aint all mouth post it! dont talk do! instead of trying to get your movie script made you on here arguing with me, go ahead write 1 page of story lets see

reply

I did write many original sci-fi stories/books. I'm not just talking, I already did. Nike just do it. Who said I wanna get my script made? Write 1 page? I already wrote dozens of chapters, you have no clue. It would be nice to have my books/scripts made into a movie. Who knows. Maybe I'm just dreaming but I would love to see my books as a movie. Anyway, they pay attention to garbage like TDOM and not my good, original, entertaining sci-fi books.

grammar nazi alert

reply

Lol not really, your enlish is just so bad, my son. You need to learn a thing or two.

reply

Yes, I've written sci-fi books and stories.

Prove it, because the burden of proof rests on you to do so!

reply

That I've written books? I don't have to prove it. I know it's true. Why would I want to prove it anyway, when you must be just another troll?
