Monsters University vs Despicable Me 2

Monsters win, a better movie. Not AS annoying, at least.

No contest, MU all the way. DM2 was a huge disappointment and that's coming from a huge fan of the original.

I expected MU to be "meh" and enjoyed it.

Hell....I gotta say Turbo turned out better than DM2. When I saw the trailer for Turbo I did a facepalm and laughed at how desperate they were but it was actually a good movie.

Monsters University was quite awesome, but Despicable me 2 is a lot better!

Maybe Despicable Me 2, but both are great animated movies. Trust me.

Maybe you should ask this question on a neutral Board.

I like both, but most definitely MU. I thought that was a fascinating and brilliantly crafted film in every respect. DM2 was hilarious, fast-paced, and fun, and it was nice to revisit these lovable characters--but it didn't ultimately draw me into the world as much as MU did. But then, Pixar has a way of consistently doing that for me (i.e., compelling me to read up on all the details about a film, over-analyze it, theorize, headcanonize, buy merchandise, etc. Of course I do also love my little Minion ornament that came in a cereal box!)

Despicable Me 2 was better and I went to go see it twice! I loved it so much! The animation is so awesome especially in 3D.

BUT

Monster Inc. first movie was better than Despicable Me first movie. I didn't even see Despicable Me first movie because I thought it was so boring. Monster University was a big deal for me because I loved Monsters Inc. so much growing up and so did a bunch of my co-workers. I use to go to work and we would all stand around talking about how we are going to go see it even though we are all young adults LOL. I was disappointed for a little, it was different than the first one but it is still a good movie.

MU much much better because it has more heart and nicer animation and most important thing of all...the comedy is fun in MU, unlike DM2.
