Couldn't get past 10 minutes - worth a second try?

No laughs and just made us cringe at how bad everything about it was, decided it wasn't worth persevering but seeing as it has a reasonable score and I missing something - is it worth giving it another shot?

Got fed up around the "ahhh America, birthplace of AIDs" "joke".

Well I found it entertaining.

Very entertaining comedy with some satirical wit if you get the references.
A major laugh every 10 minutes, and of course some gags that don't work at all (the delivery in the grocery store).

I enjoyed the slant on Brooklyn as the opposite of whatever place Aladeen comes from.

It's not a rip-off of Chaplin's The Great Dictator, but an answer to it.
There IS a difference!

7.5/10

An answer? How so? Is that how people justify plagiarizing and disrespecting one of the greatest films ever made?
Ok.

Don't be aladeen!

You need stranger to tell you to watch a film? Moron.

Depends how offended you get. A lot of people on the internet get offended about pretty much everything. If you're one of these people, it's not for you.

ha - I thought the first 10-15 minutes were the best and that it was all down hill after that. So if you didn't like the first 10 minutes then definitely don't bother with the rest.

My suggestion: Let that one slide. There's other parts funny or funnier.

That was a funny one because he was historically wrong about it along with a number of other things he didn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. America didn't create AIDs. Africa historically created it I believe from the apes it was somehow transferred to humans if I'm not mistaken and with too many men over there not treating their women more with more respect. It just became a larger issue in America.

The movie centers around this goofball (Cohen's well known for that) who kills people for no apparent reason like dictator's generally do but less humorously of course and shows in the long run how dumb of these folks can be even if they think and act like they're Gods. It's really a slap in the face and politically a number of countries who don't appreciate mockery would ban such a film.

The CIA created the HIV virus. It was an early attempt at a genealogical weapon. Remember how DNA profiling came into use in 1984, a couple of years after they had released HIV virus. The science was quite new at the time. Unfortunately the virus infected people outside of the intended target gene pool. Just kidding, of course it was some monkey's and stuff in Africa. That totally sounds plausible. I mean it was the official story so it must be true right?

Since you don't have a sense of humor don't bother watching it.
