No laughs and just made us cringe at how bad everything about it was, decided it wasn't worth persevering but seeing as it has a reasonable score and I missing something - is it worth giving it another shot?

i've watched thsi twice cause my friends keep wanting to watch it lol & its just *beep* weird but dont take it seriously, or dont even bother lol doesn't matter!
shareExcellent point. It wasn't funny in the beginning but if you stick around most of my laughs came in the last 30 minutes. Not for the easily offended but a lot of clever topical jokes. 4 out of 10.

shareGreat thread! I came here to check out the ratings...and was tempted to rate it myself. Then I remembered I quit watching it because it wasn't worth my time. Now, keep in mind, I've wasted A LOT of time on movies in my life, so it's saying something when I give up on one.
Why am I posting? Well, I went back to try to finish this film and guess where I had bailed out? 13 minutes!
I'm going to try to suffer through it, so I can come back and give it the really crappy rating it deserves.
OK. There. I've just finished it. If you've turned it off after the first 10 minutes here's some advice: don't waste your time.
Upon resuming the film I found myself hopeful because the film took an interesting turn with the "Dictator" being ousted by his second in command and wit-less double, but sadly even this change does nothing to salvage this wreck.
2/10 (one star for every minute it was funny...and I'm being generous)

A bit shock humor-ish but well constructed jokes.
No. Watch Chaplin's The Great Dictator instead. It's what this was ripped off from so horribly. Charlie's film is funnier, smarter, better written and much more moving.
shareI thought that 90 minutes wasn't enough. People say it's stereotypical but I thought it was intentional. Besides I'm from a country that doesn't understand the sensitiveness of the stereotypes mentioned. So I guess all I got what fresh humor mixed with smart political views.
If you don't stand the movie then don't bother forcing yourself. Everyone has their preferences.
If you shut this off after 10 minutes, what were you expecting from SBC playing another borat? It was kinda funny.
