I really think people should stop comparing this to Rodriguez/Tarantino films. Just because it's an homage to exploitation as a genre doesn't mean it should be compared to other modern directors who are fans of the same genre. Hobo With A Shotgun has it's own breed of humor and gore. It is a completely separate world from those other movies. I went into it expecting to hate it and came out totally in love with it. I personally enjoyed it more than Machete - much more. But it's hard to say what's better between Planet Terror, Death Proof, and Hobo With A Shotgun - they're all great in their own way.
