I really think people should stop comparing this to Rodriguez/Tarantino films. Just because it's an homage to exploitation as a genre doesn't mean it should be compared to other modern directors who are fans of the same genre. Hobo With A Shotgun has it's own breed of humor and gore. It is a completely separate world from those other movies. I went into it expecting to hate it and came out totally in love with it. I personally enjoyed it more than Machete - much more. But it's hard to say what's better between Planet Terror, Death Proof, and Hobo With A Shotgun - they're all great in their own way.

I haven't seen Hobo... but enjoyed both Death Proof and Planet Terror.

Machete, however, was a tedious mess. The first ten minutes were promising, the rest was just plain awful.

Grindhouse (as a whole) - 7/10
Planet Terror - 8/10
Death Proof - 6/10
Machete (the original trailer) - 10/10
Machete (the feature film) - 3/10

If you do good, you'll see me one more time. If you do bad, you'll see me.. two more times.

1. Planet Terror
2. Hobo With a Shotgun (but these two were pretty much a tie)
3. Machete (which I actually haven't seen yet, but Danny Trejo and Robert Rodriguez has to be a winning combo)
4. Death Proof (sorry, Quentin)

i'd have to go with:

1- Hobo with a shotgun
2- Death Proof
3- Planet Terror

I didn't watch Machete yet, i don't know but the trailer kinda turned me off, maybe i should give it a chance.
