1. Machete-This was, in my opinion, the closet the Grindhouse films came to successfully capturing the feel of the exploitation films of the 70s/80s. The gore and action sequences were over-the-top without venturing into Troma-level absurdity, and as such, were able to keep me enthralled. My only complaint with the film is with its heavy-handed political message, but I was so entertained that even that didn't bother me too much. 9.5/10.
2. Planet Terror-This one was quite a bit of fun, but it felt like it didn't go far enough and as someone else mentioned, it felt a bit too modern to really accomplish what it was going for. 7.5/10.
3. Hobo With A Shotgun-This had a very Tromaesque feel to it and I'm not sure what I think about that, as I have mixed feelings about Troma films as a whole. There's a very fine line between being enjoyably over-the-top and entertainingly stupid, and just being embarrassingly asinine, and this film tends to jump back and forth over this line right until the end credits. I'm not 100% sure what to give this film, but if I had a gun to my head, I'd give it a 6.5/10.
4. Death Proof-My complaints about this film are pretty much the same as the rest of its detractors: too much drawn-out and uninteresting dialogue, and not enough Stuntman Mike, though the scenes he was in were fun as hell. 4/10.
