1. Planet Terror - Without a doubt the best of modern GH movies 2. Hobo With a Shotgun - Fun Low budget felt like true Grindhouse mixed with some Kaufman Troma. 3. Machete - A little drawn out, but fun. 4. Death Proof, total crap unless Kurt Russell was on screen.
1. Machete - Michelle Rodriguez with an eye patch Most likely, no movie will ever top that. Plus it was pretty awesome all around, some of the best dialogue, and some awesome action/gore.
2. Hobo with a shotgun - I just watched it tonight, so I'm still a bit buzzed from the experience, but it was one of the most brutal movies I have ever seen. Definitely the most brutal non-horror movie I've seen. I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed that it doesn't seem to take place in the Kill Bill universe (unlike: Kill Bill, Death Proof, Planet Terror, Machete)
3. Death Proof - Don't really care much about the car chase at the end, I'll admit that it was cool though. I loved the ending most of all. I also loved how it changed pace so quickly and often.
4. Planet Terror - Highly over-rated. A good movie, but there is no way it belongs on the top of this list. I also hated some of the protagonists in this movie. However, I love that this movie exists on the same universe as Kill Bill, Death Proof, and Machete. I also love the fact that it isn't the last film in the timeline, its awesome that Tarantino and Rodriguez had that balls to do that.
1) Death Proof (though it doesn't really count, it's more Tarantino tributes than that it really is bad by default) 2) Hobo with a Shotgun (Rutger Hauer is awesome!) 3) Planet Terror (didn't really like it that much, it had some fun moments but as a whole it felt mediocre)
1. Hobo with a Shotgun-Exceeded my expectations and was just insane! Granted, I have to watch it a few more times to see if it holds up as my favorite of the Grindhouse movies, but I love it! 2. Planet Terror-Awesome and entertaining. This never gets old! 3. Death Proof-Great throwback to 70s Grindhouse movies with the girls. Stuntman Mike was a badass and the film was a nice tribute to Vanishing Point. 4. Machete-Love this movie. A lot of fun and a worthy entry in the Grindhouse series.
Love all 4 films! Hope Eli Roth makes Thanksgiving into a movie. Hell, I hope Don't is made into a movie since I love "Don't..." films from the 70s and 80s!!
