Hobo With a Shotgun was perfect, and by perfect I mean it was exactly what I was expecting. It was a goddam hobo with a goddam shotgun! It had loads of violence, loads of senseless violence, gallons of blood, voluntarily laughable dialogues, a fairly messy story which only serves as a vehicule for all the guts and it had killer characters (both literally and figuratively). The hobo was awesome, Drake and his 2 kids were awesome and the Plague was awesome, only Abby sometimes felt a bit off, but that's a very minor gripe. 10/10

Planet Terror was also perfect. Awesome characters and guts, way over-the-top fantastic (by that I mean "that couldn't be found in real life") elements. It also had a marvellous ending where the main character and the only guy who could have done something to save the world died. 10/10

Death Proof was really great, I can't see why people complain about it. Sure, it dragged for a bit with a lot of chatter, but that helped in excruciatingly showing how unimportant and ordinary the characters were. Purely random chicks who ended up in front of the wrong lense at first and then the wrong car. 9.5/10

Machete was goofy though. The beggining was perfect but when it reached the climactic end fight it literally turned into a comedy. Those pimped out cars with the people bouncing on the back seat made me laugh, sure, but I wanted to laugh at over-the-top gore, not at something that's actually funny. The fact that the mexicans just drove in the rednecks' base and that every half-main character killed/shot someone just for the sake of obviously doing so also annoyed me a bit. But in any cases, Trejo's oneliners and butchering of a sh!tload of guys was highly entertaining. 8/10

1. Hobo With A Shotgun- 10- felt like a genuine exploitation film and not like it was trying to be one like the other movies.

2. Planet Terror- 10- one hell of a ride, and done with a lot of style.

3. Death Proof- 10- The car scenes and scenes with Kurt Russell are great but wish there were more.

4. Machete- 7- fun, but definitely does not live up to the original fake trailer. I feel like it should have focused more on Machete. All the other characters' side stories kind of took away from what it could have been.

Hobo with a Shotgun was better than the rest by a wide margin. Probably Planet Terror next. Didn't enjoy Machete or Death Proff nearly as much as this.

Why not include Black Dynamite?

Planet Terror - 6.5/10
Death Proof - 5.5/10 (I actually liked the first half better than Planet Terror, but the second half is so bad it drops it down 2 notches)
