Her father. I think this is obviously going to be a large impactful reveal. One, she was sort of Pandora's calling to a virgin birth. Eywa chose not to restore Grace to full health, or was unable to, and so instead just started a clone as a baby within her.
Or. It's clear that Kiri is special. Her dad was someone of importance then, maybe within their new water tribe.
It looks like she's Na'vi Jesus, daughter of Eywa born from immaculate conception and will probably save Pandora with her sacrifice.
On a side note I can't understand any kind of strong feeling toward the Avatar franchise. It's serviceable, pleasing to the eye and easy to digest, but nothing more and nothing less.
I dont remember much from the first movie. So I couldnt understand where did this child came from as Sigourney Weaver died in the first one and they buried her or something. Like did they then dig her up because someone decided to check if she is pregnant? )))
That was so stupid. And its only because James Cameron wanted to give Sigourney Weaver a job to do. So Kiri’s character doesnt make any sence. There is no deep meaning. Its just Cameron giving job to his old pal who eh stupidly killed in the first movie.
Yeah, I've seen both movies once and don't recall Kiri's back story explained. She's just there with very little explanation.

Also, this is only the first film in which we meet Kiri. She's still young so maybe she'll have a much bigger and more important plot later down the line that will explain everything.
They kept Grace's live but mentally absent avatar, of course.

shareThey did, as the native Na'vi could tell which ones were the avatars. And I think Sully showed his extra fingers in a few scenes in the original, too.

shareI'll have to check again about the fingers, but I think the Na'vi also thought they were avatars by their habit of suddenly passing out when their connections to their human drivers were severed, immediately alerting the natives to the presence of the sky people in their midst.
Yeah, that might have been a dead give away.

i think this is the reason: drivers, can psionically connect with their avatar bodies, which use their human DNA as part of the genetic templates and greatly resemble the drivers' own facial features.

Apparently, they are hybrids - though featuring more Na'vi 'dna' than the human one. The original prototypes looked more human than na'vi - anyways read the wiki.
You do have to wonder though - if there's 70 percent na'vi vs 30 percent human in the clone - the offspring should have 15% of human dna - would the five fingers remain in all cases?
The cost of each Avatar is 5 billion dollars. The cost of immortality fluid is 80 million - lol
