so i post over at the sunny board all the time but i do love workaholics and when i asked this question there people thought the two shows don't even come close. does anybody here who watches both shows think workaholics is better?

shareHonestly, I think it's a matter of which one you saw first. Since sunny is older, a lot of people saw that first. Least what I've seen with friends and coworkers.

I can see that. I saw Workaholics first. I've watched the first season and half of the second.
With Sunny, I've watched the first half of the first season and am liking it quite a bit, but I get more out loud laughs out of Workaholics.
I'm far more into Workaholics as I can relate to their lives much more than Sunny. I had those crazy friends I lived with and we did our weed and drugs for years after college. I recall all those horrible jobs I had to do just to make ends meet and how I looked for any escapism from it all. As well, I just find the Workaholics guys so much more likable and it seems they are improvising a lot of their comedy on the fly. I tried Sunny and frankly got a bit bored. It was so off the wall that I had trouble following or relating with anything. I'll never understand the hoopla I guess.
shareI am a huge Sunny fan, and have had this argument with my brother, and I used to be on the side for Sunny, but the more the show progresses the more they rely on callbacks for their comedy, it seems like all the originality of the show is lost, they seem to be "Recycling the trash" in almost every episode. Like really, did anyone EVER need to hear "CROW-TEIN" again in an episode, probably not, but they throw it in there anyway.
And then there's Workaholics, which to me has maintained its charm that it had from the start. Of course they have more money and the show has changed a bit, but I find it as funny as I did the first couple seasons, which I cant say the same about Sunny, the last three seasons particularly have been REALLY hit or miss for me.
my American freind at uni told me about both sunny and workaholics..i tried sunny first and thought it was dry and boring, it tries to shock you but falls flat with me, i can see how it might shock/appeal to people more PC than i (like all the americans ive met). Workahaloics is just good juvenile jovial behaviour that makes me laugh sorta in the ilk of blue mountain state. As usual my opinion differs to everybody elses lol
