I saw this once at a mates when we where all having drinks so I didn't really take much of it in is it that bad?
I love the first 4 especially 1 and 4 (4 was the only one that came out when I was old enough to see it so it's the only one I got to watch on the big screen)
So is this terminator Genesis bad? Or just not up to par with the others
Hong Kong film director Wong Jing (who made two Die Hard-type movies*) didn't have any good things to say about this movie on Weibo (Chinese Twitter).
Translation of what he said: "The first Die Hard is my favourite. The first movie can be used as a screenwriter's handbook. The sequels are wonderfully arranged except for this one. The story here is very bland from beginning to end. I don't like it at all."
* Crocodile Hunter and City Hunter.
I absolutely love part 4. I think it was a great followup, tribute, and extension of the existing franchise.
I have no desire to check this film out because frankly, I felt like it should have ended at 4.
