Do guys like this movie?

I'll take Zombies over Vampires, any day.

I still don't understand what "romantic" means. My guess is that it refers to stuff that flatters stereotypically female ideas of sexuality. Porn for women. Even romance apologists would admit it has elements of fantasy.

Anyway, the undead usually represent taboos in sexuality. That's why vampires often appear in romances. There's a good discussion of this, here:

Problem is that modern vampire stories pander so much to women. It's not impossible for a man to enjoy such stories. But most of us honestly find them boring. There's nothing there for us.

The awkward zombie is a better representation of (especially young) male sexuality. It's still kind of absurd & silly, yet it's such a refreshing counterpoint to the suave vampire. I think the movie gets that & runs with it. That's why males can appreciate this movie, even while Twilight bores us.

Imo, people that compare this movie to Twilight are one of those that are stuck in their orientation or rebellious phase; like ~20yrs, although age isn't really that relevant, some never get out of it. It mihgt have something to do with their intelligence too.

I am a male too and Imho, the only thing it has in common is the romance, but thats about it. It has humor, it's an interesting idea, has good music and is overall well done and acted.

I enjoyed this film, it was really really fun! And Teresa is sooo pretty, why would anybody compare her to Stewart?

I liked it.

I was actually surprised that I liked it.
I was one of the guys that got dragged by their girlfriends to watch this, but I was pleasantly surprised as to how unique and even funny it is.

The chick was hot, Beast is a zombie, what's not to like

Duh, it had zombies. And really disgusting Boneys. And the blonde looked sexy.

Haven't seen _Twilight_; this man would rather watch leper-midget porno.

Just watched it, and really enjoyed it.
