Is it flopping because of the gay couple and gay adoption angle?

What do you think?

reply

I watched it specifically because of the novelty of the gay couple.

The whole point of them being gay was because it gave them a reason to think they were being targeted by homophobic religious fanatics, I thought that was obvious. And because in a straight couple, the choice would have been obvious to save the mother and daughter.

Oh, and to trigger pathetic right-wing incel snowflake trolls who cry about and feel threatened by every little thing. Obviously.

Big contributor of it failing.

It was a terrible movie. That's why it flopped.

The shoe-horned lefty talking point were cringe AF, but it would still have been a shitty movie without it.

I don't care about that aspect of it at all. I watched it and in my own personal opinion, if it flops it's because it was really boring. M Night is really hit and miss. This one was a definite miss for me.

Straights scared to death because there's someone on this planet who isn't straight.

So far, I'm about 30 minutes into this movie and this sort of feels like they're taking the subject of "Woke" and turning it into a tense thriller
