I want to be sympatetic towards oz but ... (spoiler)

wtf oz, why killed vic your most loyal man ???
I know the penguin is untrustable, unredeemable, self-centric, manipulative, but by killing vic makes his moral standard worst even than the hangman or among other the batman's adversaries.
I am not sure if killing vic will make the series' ending better or worse, but I choose the latter, so disappointed

reply

Extremely disappointing. There was no reason to kill this kid. It was over-the-top writing, and a weak way to prove a point.

It's the same with the Joker in Batman (1989), where he killed Bob, his most loyal man. It seems the villains, needed new blood/new loyalty after a time. That's why they are villains.

I’m right there with you, I absolutely HATED it. It was the dumbest of excuses that he killed…..no……murdered the poor kid. Thing is i could understand if there was some sort of misunderstanding where he thought Vic betrayed him or set him up, either with Sofia or those other people, but what he chose to do made no sense whatsoever. To think, he had the nerve to call Sofia a psycho. Pot calling kettle black huh?

If his mother was still in decent shape, she would’ve stabbed him again over him doing that. She really would’ve.

reply

They did it because these losers in Hollywood hate that people root for the villain. Even though people are going to root for the main character so it makes no sense.

reply

Rooting for the villain is not a good thing, pal. That's how we got people like Trump, Elon Musk, the far right all over the world.

reply

Shut the fuck up, it’s a fictional show. You root for the best character, fucking loser

reply

you sick fuck. don't shoot up anyone

I don’t see what you all aren’t getting….he decided he’d finally gotten where he wanted to be and he realized that having people he cared about around him was a weakness….and he couldn’t afford to have that weakness because it would make him make bad decisions and could be used against him by his enemies (like they did with his Mom). its pretty simple and a rational decision based on who he is and what he does.

Of course it’s also a vile and reprehensible decision….which makes sense because he is a criminal villain.

reply

Yes, I agree.

reply

He did it for the fans! I mean, who could really stand the acting "skills" of that guy?

reply

The Penguin is a villain. Villains do villainous things. Sympathetic humanised villains have been ruining villains for a decade. This show finally had a villain act like a villain.

If you wanted the villain to end up being a nice honourable dude I guess you were always going to end up disappointed.

They lured you in when he didn't kill Sophia, then BOOM.
