So what's the worst pain you've ever experienced?
Mine was when I had testicular torsion. It pretty much felt like I was being continuously hit in the crotch for two hours.

shareWas at a basketball court trying to see how high I can touch the net. Right as I jumped the basketball rolled underneath my foot as I landed on it. Tore the *beep* out of my right ankle which will never completely heal.

Wow, my post will be lost in the mountain here, but here goes anyways...
The family and I were all getting out of the car, and as I rose out of the front passenger seat, my daughter closed the back passenger door...and trapped my hand. Completely shut.
As calmly as I could, I said, "Open it, open it..." She said, "I can't"...(it was locked).
That's when I started to scream.
Just like the original poster, I also had a testicular torsion which is the worst pain I have ever felt. Right when I read the title of the thread I thought about my testicular torsion and then I see the original poster talking about the same pain, the coincidence has amazed me.
I was feeling the pain for six hours until I got operated. The doctors told me the testicle was completely black and they were going to amputate it but then it slowly turned its color and they could cure it so I the amputation didn't occur and I have my two testicles.
The pain is incredible hard, no one who hasn't suffered it can imagine how that hurts.

It was in 2001 and I was riding my Bike and then some tiny little rocks got in my way and I lost control of the Bike and felt over and my face slided for about 50 CM and it hurt like a fvcker!
My face got full of the tiny little rocks but I ran to my Brother who lived nearby and he took care of me.
ALICE From Resident Evil
When i was younger, i was hopping around barefoot, and i ended up falling. When i looked at my foot, my toe was all bloody, and i could see a little lump popping out. I had to go to the ER, turns out my toe nail popped out of my skin.
"No time for the ol' in out love, i just come to read the meter"
In terms of scale, slamming a heavy glass and wood door onto my pinkie finger. It bled out under the nail, which eventually fell off.
Second would be getting my hip tattoo. Sort of hurts >-----4 Hours----> Utter agony.
Every time you read this signature, an orphaned puppy gets fed into a meat grinder.
Spraining my back with 180 pounds + the bar because I lost my balance during a lunge at the gym. I've gotten injured very often, a lot more than most people and that has made me pretty pain-resistant but not this time around (I'm 25, happened when I was 22). However, it was so bad that even with a doctor on site and help to get back up without using my back, the pain from simply standing up was so intense it was making me see white spots everywhere and I was only moments away from passing out. And when I was the x-ray cleared me, getting me back up made me yell in pain and so did every subsequent attempt to use my back. It took me about 30 minutes at the hospital to simply get up and take my stuff to leave.
Of course, the pain was not only excruciating but also impossible to forget because a severe back sprain hurts in every *beep* position 24/7 (unless you're sleeping). For 1 full week, it took me 3 hours to fall to sleep because the pain would keep me awake even with powerful painkillers. Of course, going to work taking the bus also took its toll. It took me about a full month to recover. But hey, considering I almost paralyzed myself by being reckless, I'd say that's pretty good.
Like others have said about labor, having an extremely intense pain is one thing. (Like getting lifted back up by the arms after I fractured my clavicle for example). Having one that never goes away no matter what you do and even grows worse as time goes on is something that I wish none of you ever have to experience.
I was cleaning our apartment and was coming down the rugged stairs with glasses and soda cans in my hands. In order to carry more, I had stuck my fingers into the cans, like a bowling ball. When I hit the third step from the bottom, it turned to ice on me. My first reaction was to throw away everything in my hands as not to get cut, so therefore I couldn't use my arms to stop or lessen my fall. I twisted and the left side of my back caught the edge of the stair, right under my ribcage. By the time I hit the floor at the base, I remember desperately trying to crawl away from the pain on my hands and knees. No broken bones thankfully, but I couldn't move for the next two days.
shareIt actually took me some time to remember my most painful experience. I would say blowing out the back of my knee after trying to shoot a layup (basketball). I could barely walk. It took 4-5 years before the knee recovered. I had a baseball smack me on the front of my forehead a few times when I was a teenager. That was also painful.
I ruptured my quad tendon while in a 100 meter race as a freshmen in high school. Another time my knee was temporarily dislocated from running too much.
My experiences are minor compared to most here and the amputation in the movie. I would struggle to cut any limb off. It comes down to survival. You have to weigh your options. I guess things change when you have to make a decision to live or die. Cool thread.
